In 1995 the Internet as we know it today was new and fresh. John K. started Southwest Cyber Systems to help other companies use websites and infrastructure to maximize the capabilities of the Internet.
When John realized that there was a significant gap in how attainable these options were for small to mid-sized companies, he changed the focus of Southwest Cyber Systems. By offering corporate infrastructure support to small businesses, we were able to bring enterprise-level technologies to our customers at small business prices. And our customers no longer had to rely on their most tech-savvy employee or something they had read somewhere... they now had access to professional level support and consultancy for addressing their business needs.
By 2005 virtualization was gaining acceptance as an option to deploying multiple physical servers. Almost immediately, the potential of virtualization captivated John. This was the beginning of what we know today as “The Cloud”. Southwest Cyber was replicating virtual machines for disaster recovery purposes within a year of its introduction. We cultivated partnerships with industry leaders such as Cisco, Barracuda and VMware in order to continue to bring cutting edge technology to our small and midsize clients.
Building on cloud disaster recovery, we have focused in the last few years on growing our cloud services, expanding geographically into Dallas for location diversity. In addition to our traditional network and IT support services, we also offer hosted Exchange and disaster recovery services in the form of server replication and cloud backup solutions.

"We consider [Southwest Cyber's] IT technicians as part of the TOMAGWA family. They’ve helped us so much of the years we have known them."
"We learned of Southwest Cyber Systems through a friend and it was certainly our lucky day. John Kruizenga helped us sort out a maze of different network providers (one was charging us for nothing) for our phones and internet services saving us hundreds of dollars per month. He then proposed a way to use our current technology to save money and increase efficiencies in the system. We are most grateful for a service that is honest, competent and skillful. Thank you."
"Thanks so much for jumping all over our cyber attack and getting us back on our feet so quickly!! We very much value our relationship!!"
